Greg enjoys Jubilee celebrations around the Bexhill and Battle Constituency
11 June 2012
Greg was delighted to be invited to many Diamond Jubilee celebrations over the long weekend that were taking place throughout the constituency.
On Saturday Greg visited Catsfield, where villagers had organised a packed weekend of activities including an impressive village exhibition. He then travelled on to Etchingham where Greg was delighted to hand over commenorative mugs to 180 local children and families at their family Jubilee picnic.
He then called in to Old Heathfield where he met Revd David Guest at All Saints parish church who showed him round the beautiful flower festival and they popped into St Richards and All Saints Primary school where local families had been enjoying a celebratory tea.
Finally on Monday evening Greg visited the village celebrations at Pevensey Castle and then joined villagers in Brightling for their Jubilee street party and the lighting of the Brightling Beacon.
