Greg Opens Bexhill Art Society's Annual Exhibition

11 June 2012

Greg was pleased to formally open the Annual Exhibition of the Bexhill Art Society now in its 51st year at the De La Warr Pavilion over the Jubilee Weekend.

Chairman David Miles thanked Gregory Barker for opening the exhibition where there were over two hundred framed paintings on display as well as many unframed works and a wonderful array of greeting cards made by Society Members, and a satisfactory level of sales was achieved over the period.

Speaking after the event Greg said ““Local Bexhill artists have never been busier. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the record 200 plus entries. A vibrant Art Society certainly adds to the life of our town and I was delighted that 51 years on the group is still going strong.”

Attendance over the three days was almost eight hundred visitors, which, with all the Jubilee celebrations over the weekend was a great achievement.
