Greg listens to the concerns of Battle Post Office SubMistress

3 May 2012

Greg visited Battle Modified Post Office last Friday to hear the concerns of Sub Postmistress, Mrs Helen Baker, about the future plans for the Post Office network.
Mrs Baker is concerned that the changes are being brought in too quickly by Post Office Ltd without enough consultation with the sub Postmasters who know best what their customers want and need. Greg agreed to raised her concerns with his colleague Norman Lamb MP, Minister for Consumer and Postal Affairs at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Speaking in Battle, Greg said “ The Post Office network provides a vital service to the people of Bexhill and Battle and for many rural areas it is central to community life. We need to make sure that the changes being proposed by Post Office Ltd, which aim to secure the future of the network, are right for the communities they serve.”
